The section below lists the skills required to obtain a private pilot certificate. For each skill, criteria is defined to evaluate whether a skill is:
Developing – The learner does not yet meet the required standard and is practicing the skill
Competent – The learner meets the required standard (generally as defined by the ACS/PTS, if applicable)
Mastered   – The learner meets a higher standard than the minimum requirement
